Simo Pulkkinen is in the process of finishing his dissertation Transcendental Phenomenology and the Problem of Culture in the University of Helsinki. His PhD project was funded by a four year grant from the Kone Foundation. Pulkkinen is currently working in the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies as a part of the research project European Rationality in the Break from Modernity, led by Sara Heinämaa and funded by the Academy of Finland. Pulkkinen is visiting the Phenomenology Research Center for two weeks in the Fall of 2012.
