The PRC Welcomes Two New Visiting Researchers

The Phenomenology Research Center is pleased to announce that Carlos Perez and Paula Lorelle will be joining the research team starting this Spring 2014!

Carlos Perez is professor of Semiotics at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Bogota – Colombia, and is currently pursuing his PhD in philosophy at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá. His research focuses on the emotional situatedness of linguistic cognition and the phenomenological understanding of ordinary speech. He will join the Phenomenology Research Center for the spring semester, 2014, supported by a grant from the Administrative Department of Colombia for the Sciences, Technology and Innovation (COLCIENCIAS).

Paula Lorelle completed two Masters in Philosophy, in Boston College and in Paris IV-Sorbonne,  where she discovered her interest for German and French Phenomenology, and started work on  the question of sensibility and otherness in Levinas. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the  Sorbonne and working on the relations between sensibility and reason in Husserl and Levinas. She  will be with the Phenomenology Research Center for the Spring and Fall 2014.
